How I wish you were here to enjoy it, to breath it, with me. Then again, I know you are, wherever you are.
It is heart breaking to see a person shout in anger at another out of annoyance of something trivial, while the other remains incapacitated.
To witness anger, to witness helplessness, to witness lapse of awareness, to witness repression, to witness false sense of power, to witness disregard to humanity.

Life can turn into auto-pilot roller coaster. We have so many “musts” that we often forget how that may impact our body, our self, our health.
Thankfully, this body of ours has the amazing capability to cope and heal. But it does have its limits. It will start talking to us (in ways it can: those stress, unhappiness, easily irritated moments; escalating to illness: headaches, flu, stomach ache, stiffness; escalating to more serious illness (god forbid)).
By spending some time regularly to stop and listen to the body, we will have better idea on what’s going on, and–like a child that feels heard–the body will start to heal.
Let’s give our body its due respect. Let’s listen. That’s what health meditation is basically about. To listen to how we are, and provide us a chance to heal.
Jakartans, there is a half day workshop conducted by Bali Usada on health meditation on April 27. Let’s use this opportunity to understand how the body (and thoughts, emotions, feelings) works and help it heal.

On February 21st, 2013, about 600 professionals in Jakarta took a day off to visit elementary schools in the city and shared with the students what they do for a living; and what it took for them to get to that place. Jakarta was joined by 6 other cities in Indonesia.
The professionals came to inspire (the name of the movement is Inspiration Class or #kelasinspirasi). They ended up being inspired. Or perhaps it works both way, like things always do.

Have you ever taken a night flight? Last night, when the cabin light had been dimmed, from my seat by the window, I gazed outside.
Gosh, somehow this memory suddenly sprang to mind. A question from a friend quite a while ago: “Do you always that the more challenging, winding route? Ouch. Oh, well, sometimes that is what friends are for. Sometimes.
I am not sure how right my friend was. Nor am I certain that it was the kindest way to point out that matter to me. But the question did ring some bells.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) seminars are always amazing, to say the least. It is a reminder how powerful being present, and being a neutral listener or witness is. It is a reminder of how wonderful, beautiful, and magical our body is. It is a reminder how much we can learn about ourselves and about life from our body and our relationship to other people.
During this particular seminar, it has been a strong reminder of (among others) what I am and what I love. Continue reading
